A new, independent, community-focused bookstore on Capitol Hill

East City Bookshop: a gathering place for book lovers of all ages, a place to talk about books, ideas, to learn something new or revisit something you once knew well.  Providing top-notch customer service, author events, books clubs, and more.  We want to connect you with the books you want and need.  And some that maybe you didn’t even know you wanted and needed.

We also have a selection of toys, gifts, and bookish items that we love and think you might need to have for yourself or for someone you like a whole lot.
